"Jeff's Wife"- I bought 7 of colors as Add-On items so I'm reviewing all 7 here.Just like any other regular gel polish, not no-wipe gels, these WILL BE TACKY AFTER CURING, that's the inhibition layer, it will need to be removed with gel cleanser, isopropyl alcohol or just topped with a no-wipe gel top coat but if the top coat is not a no-wipe gel then it will also have an inhibition layer. They cure in about 30 sec, depending on your LED/UV lamp; higher watts = shorter curing time, if your lamp is less then 10 watts your curing time will be a lot longer. They will peel if your coats are too thick, you need THIN coats, 3-4 of them, and the free edge needs to be capped or the polish will shrink.For the photos I used 2 coats and a no-wipe gel top coat on the off white display rings (the ones on the bottles) and 2-4 coats on the clear display sticks with the same top coat. I've also added photos of the clear sticks held up to a light to show opacity. What's Up and Blue Illusion have 2 coats. Working Woman, Secret Desire and Love Power have 3 coats. Bullet Proof and Risque Business has 4 coats.#6136 What's Up - This is a basic white with decent coverage on the first coat, it's on the sheer side but does become opaque on the second. Only needs 2 coats.#6142 Bullet Proof - This is a dark green in a black jelly base with green and gold, maybe even some copper, shimmer. Not opaque at 4 coats but may be on shorter nails. It may look better and need fewer coats over a black base, like some Indie multi-chromes do.#6111 Blue Illusion - This is a dark blue/purple in a black jelly base with blue and purple shimmer. Not opaque on the first coat, it actually looks terrible, but very close to being completely opaque on the second. But it is a beautiful polish, probably my favorite out of the 7.#6156 Risque Business - This is a gold polish that either has a terrible formula or I got a bad bottle, it's thick and stringy. Very streaky on the first coat. It's not opaque after 4 coats (it looks opaque on the off white display ring but it's so not).#6103 Working Woman - This is a deep, bright red with gold and red shimmer. The formula on this one is a little thin so very thin coats are need so the polish doesn't flood the sidewalls.#6154 - Secret Desire - This is a dark mint with gold and maybe some green shimmer. Like Risque Business, the formula is terrible or I got a bad bottle, it looks thick and stringy taking the brush out of the bottle but becomes runny when applied to the nail. It's very streaky and sheer on the first coat, thin or thick spots on the first coat become very visible by the 3rd. It also doesn't seem to mix well, I shook it & rolled it but it still looks very unmixed on the brush.#6130 Love Power - This is a dirty neon, not that bright, in your face neon, more like a bio-hazard & zombie warning sign orange. The formula is like Working Woman, a little thin and may flood sidewalls. Putting it over a white base made little to no difference in brightness, unlike a true neon.The polishes are NOT TRUE to the label on the bottle, except for the white, so I won't be using them as I had originally intended, (I got them to use as base colors for some glow in the dark gels) but they are still great colors. I wish the formulas were more consistent though.Over all I'm very happy with these and since I bought them as Add-On items for under $5 ea , I'm even happier.I like how fast it is to polish my nails with this brand of color and LED light. This color, Working Woman, is a beautiful red with a bit of shimmer. I would love it more if it kept its gloss a bit longer or stayed on longer. I even tried it with bonder and that didn't help. Nice color though.I ordered the shade merry mermaid, which is a gorgeous color, but did not work at all. I bought a Nailuv kit a couple years ago and about half the shades that came with that kit work beautifully with the special light and everything but half of them perform like this one. Even if you follow all of the instructions perfectly, this will not harden or stay on your nails. It immediately peels off and is super gross. And yes, I tried keeping my nails under the light for longer periods of time to make sure that it wasn't the light that was messing it up. I took a chance and bought this even after reading all of the reviews on here and really regret it because you can't return nail polish (because of shipping restrictions), so I recommend that you don't take the chance. Hopefully I can get a refund.I was hoping this color would be more of a nude, but it is really a light pink (no shimmer). I think the color is pretty, and this applied nicely, it's just not what I was looking for.Love this color and productsI like this gel nail polish brand the best of all that I have tried. This color is nice because it is hard to see the chips.Great color but takes at least three coats for good coverage.Great bonder. Dries quickly and holds gel polish on wonderfully much better than popluar brand used in salon. Very happy never go to the salon anymore last about 2-3 weeks. Most time change color because I am tired of it.Had I realised it had solvents in it I wouldn't have bought it. Far too strong for me to use so no idea how it looks.
