Long but thorough review ahead!!I felt strongly that this product needs a detailed review. First of all, if you are thinking of trying these polishes, do it. I’m like 90% positive you’ll like it!Now, on to the details. I have 2 sets of polishes I’ve bought and used over the last month or so. I’m a hair stylist so my hands are in hair and water/shampoo constantly. I was paying to get the SNS dip nails about every 3 weeks. And while I liked those, getting them done properly was hit or miss, if one or two nails got screwed up before it was time to get the done again, it was a pain in the butt. Getting them fixed or taking them off was time consuming and often I just couldn’t deal with it. I’ve always enjoyed doing my own nails, but the time to wait for things to dry so you don’t smudge the polish is annoying, and even if I did get a good application, it’d be chipped and terrible looking by the end of my work week.Fast forward to looking up gel polishes on amazon! Here’s what I think: 1. They apply and cure under the light beautifully. Tip: use thin coats and take your time for a clean application, if you get any on the sidewalls/cuticle, scrape it off before you cure it. 2. I have NOT gotten 3 whole weeks out of an application, however, I like to change my colors up, so personally that doesn’t bother me. And if one or two nails peels or something mid week, it’s super fast and easy to fix it since these cure under the light instead of traditional polish that you have to wait to dry. My guess is that if you don’t have your hands in people’s hair or water, you’d get pretty good longevity. 3. I think these are very reasonably priced. As a cosmetologist, I know how much the professional cost of gel polish is, and these Beetles brand ones are roughly 6 for the price of 1 pro! Plus I love having the variety of colors! For about the price of one time getting my nails done in the salon, I now have 12 colors that have gotten me through Halloween, fall, thanksgiving and into Christmas. 4. The bottles are a good size. I’d read a review somewhere where someone complained about the size of the bottle. They’re decent, especially considering that you’re getting 4-6 colors at a time. How much do you need?! And the base and top coats are a bigger bottle, so you’ll have plenty of those. (See photos) 5. You’ll get better at applying the more you use it, don’t give up!
