I shall probably address some of the things concerning my height and shoe size before I describe the boots themselves. I am 5'7" and 95% of all my shoe purchases come as US 6.5 B (M). That said I ordered boots in 6.5 B (M) Tan.I primary bought them to use in the fall or earl spring since the do not have like a second layer inside and I do not like wearing thick socks unless I am skiing. So they suit me well with thin socks or tights both.Boots go a bit over the knee, so that is how it should be. Then you see those cowboy looking brushes hanging on the sides? If you like them - good for you, keep them and enjoy.I liked my boots to be a bit classy than that, so hanging things were removed and safely packed in the box.One word on packaging. Wow, just wow. This is one of the best presented shoe boxes I ever received. If you ever thought of giving these boots as gift, that is it, no additional material needed. Bring it as is and it will be accepted with big thanks, IMO I will get a picture of packaging soon.Price tag. Well, ladies and gentlemen, please, wait till they go on sale or there is a special promotion. ( I paid two times less than original price)I ordered these boots about a month ago after doing extensive web research on them and finding only 4 reviews anywhere. I ordered them from karmaloop and attempted to leave a review on their site but it was rejected because it was not positive. While the boots looked exactly as pictured they run very small. I wanted to love these boots very badly. The packaging and presentation was great but the leg holes on the boots were just so large in circumference that I had to send them back. I felt costumey in them like Jack Sparrow or something. The details and leather aren't horrible quality but they're more of a 120 dollar quality rather than 200+. If you want something really over the top or have very thick thighs this boot may be for you.I've had these boots for over 4 years and I keep getting them repaired and resoled because they are that amazing! I have 16 inch circumference calves so finding a pair of boots that look good and fit me is such a pain. Well these were it! And I hope they would make them again, but I don't see that happening. The quality of the leather is amazing and it's super soft. I wear these everywhere.
